About the project
A Contemporary Interpretation of Lanna Architecture
This house reflects Niwat Architects’ approach to combining local architectural knowledge with modern design. The project draws from an understanding of Lanna architecture and landscape while adapting these ideas to the needs of contemporary living.
The house was planned around Chiang Mai’s local climate, with orientation and landscape playing an important role in creating a green and comfortable home. The design aims to bring natural conditions into everyday life while providing spaces that are bright, healthy, and comfortable.
The result is a villa where the influence of Lanna architecture can be understood through the way the house responds to its surroundings, while the overall design remains contemporary and suited to modern life.
