With a deep understanding of Lanna architecture, the design thoughtfully blends the knowledge, ideas, and experience of two generations of architects, Dr. Niwat and Khun Art. Their combined perspectives create a harmonious and refined result—one that respects the essence of traditional Lanna architecture while bringing it into a contemporary context.

Renovating an existing house can be complicated, especially when coordination is required between architects, contractors, interior designers, and other specialists hired separately by the homeowner. Their team handled this very well and maintained good communication with everyone involved.

From our experience, they are a professional and trustworthy team who genuinely care about keeping the project well coordinated and on schedule, apart from circumstances that may genuinely be beyond anyone’s control.

For anyone considering renovating an existing home and looking for an architectural team that professional, responsible, communicative, and reliable, we would highly recommend Khun ART and his team.

Art worked with me on a house design. Art listened to my wants and needs then assisted me with a great design within my budget. I have lived in the house since 2019.

Outstanding custom home design by Niwat Architect! Their expertise in passive cooling and natural ventilation is exceptional—the house stays cool, breezy, and comfortable throughout the day. The modern aesthetic perfectly balances elegance with practical living. On top of their design brilliance, the team is highly professional and delivered all project phases strictly on time. Highly recommended!

Working with Niwat Architects to bring our modern Lanna architectural vision to life was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From our earliest concept meetings, their team demonstrated a profound respect for northern heritage while expertly translating traditional Lanna forms into a functional, contemporary space.

Their mastery of regional materials and architectural nuance sets them apart. They brilliantly balanced the iconic steep-pitched rooflines, expansive overhangs, and natural ventilation principles with modern engineering. The integration of exposed local brickwork, rich timber accents, and understated ornamental motifs gave the building an authentic sense of place without ever feeling dated or like a caricature of the past.

Crucially, they achieved this high level of craft while remaining remarkably budget-conscious. Instead of defaulting to costly, imported materials, they proposed clever, cost-effective solutions—sourcing locally and optimizing structural layouts to maximize visual impact without inflating our bottom line. Every cost was transparent, and their value engineering kept the build realistic without compromising the design's integrity.

If you are looking for an architecture firm with cultural insight, aesthetic maturity, and the rare ability to deliver authentic Lanna design without breaking the bank, Niwat Architects is truly in a league of their own.
